  • Make sure that the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds to the local mains voltage.
  • Do not use the appliance if the plug, the mains cord or the appliance itself is damaged.
  • Make sure that the appliance is not blocked by scale. If necessary, descale the appliance. When appliance produces lot of noise and steam, descale. Regular descaling prolongs the life of the appliance and guarantees optimal brewing results and a constant brewing time for a long time.
  • Do not place the appliance on a hot surface and do not let the mains cord come into contact with hot surfaces.
  • Use white vinegar with 4% acetic acid or a liquid descaler to descale the coffeemaker.

 

  • Do not put the jug on a stove or in a microwave for re-heating of coffee.

 

  • Clean the outside of the appliance with a moist cloth.
  • This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar type environments.
  • Clean the filter holder, the permanent filter (specific types only), the water tank cover, the jug and the lid of the jug in hot water with some washing-up liquid or in the dishwasher after every use.
  • Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
  • If you want to brew another jug of coffee right away, let the appliance cool down for 3 minutes first.
  • Do not fill the water tank beyond the MAX level.
  • Use the right size of paper filter and make sure it is not torn.
  • Do not remove the jug while the coffee is still brewing. Few models come with drip stop feature however the filter may still overflow if the jug is not put back on hotplate for a long time.
